If you think you’re good, then we’d love to hear from you.
But you’ve got to be properly good. A reference from Mum, unfortunately, will not count (because, let’s face it, she’ll always think you’re great)!
What we do want, however, is a CV that tells us all about your school, perhaps your college (if applicable), your previous employment (including that Christmas job at Boots), your personal statement, your made-up hobbies and, of course, your clean driving licence. Why? Because that is what we were made to do – and we don’t want to make it super-easy for you!
And actually this is a serious point – working in the restaurant and hospitality industry is not easy. It involves a lot of hard work, but it can be incredibly rewarding.
At The Red House we want to keep it relaxed (‘Relaxed Stylish Dining’ – have you not read the section?) and we want to keep it all about the customer. We want great cooking skills if you want to be part of our kitchen team; and we want a big (completely unforced) smile and a great personality if you want to be part of our Front of House team.
So, if you’ve got a great attitude and good discipline (that’s discipline in working as part of a team, rather than smacked-bottom sort of discipline), and you want to work in a special restaurant to really find that ‘incredibly rewarding’ job, then we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV (sorry, those are the rules (see above)) to the following email address: jobs@redhousechester.com.
So go-on, if you can communicate to us how good you are, then there’s an excellent chance that you could also communicate to the customer how good we are.
